7.1 Mechanical Processes | General

The mechanical and laser processes cover all the information about the technologies that can be used to process PCBs mechanically or by laser. All processes are subject to minimum and maximum tool sizes as well as tolerances.

If no tolerances are specified in the procurement documents, the KSG tolerances apply. These are usually based on ISO 22081 and can be found by referring to the relevant tables in this Compass.

By drawing your attention to all the factors that affect the cost, the information provided under Standard (Design to Cost) and Additional Costs (€€€) allows you to control the production costs of your PCBs right from the engineering and design phase.
