6.3 Markings | UL (Underwriters Laboratories)

Full UL marking, consisting of

• UL logo
• Trademark
• UL type
• Flammability class (DSR mark)

Shortened UL marking, including the following as a minimum:

• Trademark
• Type specification (e.g., KSG ML1) or E-file number
• Type specification (e.g., E143060 ML6)
• The UL logo and flammability class 94V-0 may be omitted for space reasons

Trademark (KSG logo)

• Trademark for the location KSG GmbH Gornsdorf: "KSG" or "K" if space is limited
• Trademark for the location KSG Austria GmbH: "KSG" or "K"

UL logo:

UL logo according to ZPMV2 (USA)

• NOT used at KSG.
• If ZMPV8 is requested, the combined logo is ALWAYS used.

UL Type

• The UL type describes a certified combination of approved materials and technical properties as entered in the manufacturer’s UL record.
• The ZPMV2 and ZPMV8 entries in the UL record are both identical in the case of KSG.

E-File Number

• The E-file number is the registration number under which KSG GmbH and KSG Austria GmbH are registered with UL.
• The UL files of KSG GmbH (E143060) and KSG Austria GmbH (E72795) were merged into one UL file with the number E143060 in 2019. All UL documents for KSG contain the registration number E143060.
• The registration number can be applied to the PCB if there is a requirement for the E-file number to be marked.
