It is always advisable to consider the minimum size required for the PCB or for the multiple sub-panels at the very beginning of the PCB design process. Sometimes, optimum utilization of the production format material comes down to just a few millimeters’ difference in the size of the PCB or multiple sub-panel (Design to Cost).
